What Art & Craft Therapy Is:
- A therapeutic activity led by a qualified art therapist or support worker
- Uses painting, drawing, sculpting, or other crafts to express feelings, reduce stress, and boost confidence
- Can be individual sessions or small group activities
Benefits for Participants:

NDIS Funding:
- Usually funded under Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living
- Sometimes can be included under Core Supports – Community Access if the focus is social participation
- Must link to a participant’s NDIS goals (improving emotional wellbeing, developing new skills, connecting with the community)
What Dance & Music Therapy Is:
- A structured, therapeutic approach using dance, rhythm, and music
- Led by a trained music or dance therapist
- Focuses on expression, connection, and skill-building
Benefits for Participants:
- Improves motor skills, coordination, and balance
- Supports emotional expression and stress relief
- Builds confidence and social skills
- Encourages communication (verbal or non-verbal)
- Promotes mindfulness and relaxation
NDIS Funding:
- Often funded under Capacity Building – Improved Daily Living (if delivered by a registered therapist)
- May be funded under Core Supports – Community Access if focused on social participation
- Needs to be connected to NDIS goals like emotional wellbeing, communication, independence, or social inclusion
What Social Video Game Therapy Is:
- Structured gaming sessions (individual or group) with a support worker or therapist
- Focused on teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and emotional regulation
- Can include console games, PC games, or even VR experiences that promote interaction
